Mayor Vincent C. Gray said Friday the John A. Wilson Building, the District’s city hall, will be lighted red at night to honor the Washington Nationals’ first playoffs appearance.
The Wilson Building facade will go red starting Friday and for the duration of the Nats’ playoff run. The building, at 14th and Pennsylvania NW, has previously been lighted red, including last year in observance of World AIDS Day.
“On behalf of the residents of the District of Columbia, I wish the team good luck throughout the playoffs,” Gray said in a statement.
