Bryce Harper, Derek Norris appear in Rising Stars game in Arizona Fall League

Bryce Harper and Derek Norris participated in the Rising Stars game Saturday night in the Arizona Fall League, both providing unremarkable performances in the showcase after standout play throughout the league’s first portion.

The East Division team, for which Harper and Norris played, lost to the West Division, 11-2. No. 1 overall pick Gerrit Cole of the Pittsburgh Pirates started for the East and allowed five runs in just two-thirds of an inning. No. 2 overall pick

Left-hander Danny Hultzen, a former star at St. Albans and Virginia, earned the win with two scoreless innings. The Seattle Mariners prospect allowed no hits and one walk while striking out three.
