Bryce Harper goes 3 for 3 with homer, six RBI

A quick update on Bryce Harper, who had the biggest game of his nascent career Friday night for Class A Hagerstown. His line from the box score of the Suns’ 17-1 win at home over the Hickory Crawdads: 3 for 3, home run, double, two walks, six RBI. Harper has homered on consecutive days to raise his season total to three. His batting average, just .226 when Dave Sheinin checked in on him a week ago, is up to .306. He had been held out of the second game of a doubleheader Thursday for precautionary reasons after running into the outfield wall while chasing a fly ball during the first game.
