The Nationals are trying to break their four-game losing streak on what is, for them, a unique night. The Nationals, in Chris Marrero, Ryan Zimmerman and Ross Detwiler, will have three of their own first-round picks in their lineup for the first time in their brief history.
Detwiler has been impressive in his recent start, including one against the Reds when his fastball zipped routinely at 95 miles per hour. He’ll face Mike Leake, against whom Ryan Zimmerman hit a home run that may still be traveling in their last meeting.
