Game 132 discussion thread: Nationals at Reds

The Nationals will try to their break a brutal five-game offensive slump today against the wrong pitcher to try break a slump against. Without Ryan Zimmerman in the lineup, the Nationals will try to snap their five-game losing streak against Johnny Cueto, who dominated them 10 days ago and who leads the National League with a 2.03 ERA.

The Nationals will counter with their ace, Jordan Zimmermann, who will make the final start of his season today. He’s sitting at 157 innings and will surpass the 160-inning limit the Nationals placed on him in first full season back from Tommy John surgery. “He’s proved that he belongs up here,” Manager Davey Johnson said. “He’s definitely a premier pitcher on our ballclub, and in the league. I’ll miss him the last month, but he doesn’t have to show anything to anybody.”

As always, talk about the game right here.
