The good news for the Nationals is that even after their dispiriting offensive performance last night, they can still clinch a series win against the Braves The bad news is that they will try to do it against Braves right-hander Tim Hudson. The Nationals have beaten him once this season, but in his career Hudson is 11-3 with a 2.00 ERA against the Nationals.
Chien-Ming Wang will make his seventh start since returning July 29, and he’ll be facing the Braves for the second time. Wang has been consistently improving. The key, catcher Wilson Ramos said, is that Wang has been spotting all of his pitches lower in the strike zone while also getting more movement on his sinker.
As always, talk about the game right here.
