The Nationals are starting a three-game series against the Dodgers today with John Lannan on the mound. Lannan has four three consecutive starts, dropping his record on the year to 8-11. That’s not exactly his fault, though. Lannan has allowed eight earned runs in 21 innings over that span, good for an ERA of 3.43. During those 21 innings Lannan pitched, the Nationals scored three runs.
Lannan and the Nationals will face Hiroki Kuroda, the right-hander John Lannan hit the only home run in his career off of in Los Angeles back in July. Later that night, Jerry Hairston hit a grand slam. How things change.
Happy Labor Day. Talk about the game right here.
