Game 43 discussion thread: Nationals at Mets

Today, the Nationals will face a starting pitcher with which they’re not all that familiar. Right-hander Dillon Gee is in his second professional season and has thrown against Washington only once before.

Last season, Gee went seven innings in a 4-1 Mets win in D.C. Gee allowed one earned run, two hits and three walks while earning his first career major league victory. He also tallied four strikeouts.

This year, Gee is 2-0 with a 4.44 ERA. He will be making his fifth start of the season and has yet to last more than six innings. In his last outing, Gee went five innings, allowing four earned runs, four walks and five hits in a 6-4 Mets win Friday at Houston.
