The Nationals are trying for only their third series win against the Phillies since 2008, a span of 21 series. They’re trying to perform an improbable task in an improbable manner by sending John Lannan to the mound. Lannan is 0-10 with a 6.44 ERA against the Phillies, the team against whom he made his major league debut.
The Nationals have at least 10 hits in three straight games, and today, facing another Phillies ace in Roy Oswalt, will try to knock double-digit hits for the fourth straight game for the first time this season.
Talk about the game right here. And follow the action here.
