Game 59 discussion thread: Nationals at DBacks

On Thursday night, the Nationals won their third straight game. Today, they’re trying to avoid a three-game losing streak. Jason Marquis leads the Nationals with six wins, and if he can get another today, the Nationals will earn a split against the Diamondbacks. Given that Arizona had won 13 of 16 entering the series, that would be a nice start to an 11-game road trip.

One overlooked National right now is Todd Coffey. In his last 20 appearances, Coffey has allowed one earned run in 19 2/3 innings, striking out 22. He’s also stranded all 12 runners that he’s inherited. He could see his role increase.

Ian Kennedy on the mound for the D-backs. As always, talk about the game right here.
