This afternoon in the Nationals’ clubhouse, Wilson Ramos pulled up his left pant leg to reveal a bruise on his shin, where a fouled a ball off of yesterday. Ramos isn’t playing tonight, but he said most of the pain has gone away. The main reason he isn’t playing, Manager Jim Riggleman is because “I don’t want too many days when Pudge is sitting three days in a row. They’re both doing such a good job, and we’re just trying to utilize both of them.”
The Nationals will try to beat Tim Lincecum for the second time this season, and to beat the Giants for the fourth consecutive time with Lincecum on the mound. In his previous three starts against the Nationals, dating back to 2009, Lincecum has allowed the Nationals 11 earned runs in 18 innings on 21 hits and seven walks.
John Lannan will take Lincecum on tonight. As always, talk about the game right here.
