Game 69 discussion thread: Nationals vs. Cardinals

The Nationals have already had one positive result today. The Marlins lost to the Phillies today, dropping them to 32-37 and putting the Nationals, at 32-36, in fourth place by themselves. The last time the Nationals were not in last place at this point in the season or later was the last day of the 2007 season. If they win tonight, they’ll stay in fourth and sweep the Cardinals.

The weather has played a factor already, as the grounds crew pulled the tarp on the field midway through Nationals batting practice and forced the Cardinals to do all their hitting indoors. The game will start on time, but a few small storms are expected to cycle through later tonight.

John Lannan, who’s been red hot, will take on Kyle Lohse, who shut out the Nationals when they faced him in April. As always, talk about the game right here.
