Marlins at Nats: Game 150 discussion thread

The only team in Major League Baseball that has faced Stephen Strasburg twice will become the first to face him three times, when Strasburg battles the Florida Marlins tonight at Nationals Park.

(Jacquelyn Martin - AP)
In his two starts against the Marlins in 2010, Strasburg had mixed results, throwing six shutout innings against them in Florida on July 16, but absorbing his worst beating as a big leaguer on Aug. 10 in Washington, giving up six hits, two walks and six earned runs in just 4 1/3 innings in his first start after returning from a bout of shoulder stiffness.

Whatever advantage the Marlins might be peceived to have for having faced Strasburg twice before is negligible: Only three Marlins hitters in tonight’s lineup — Gaby Sanchez (1 for 5 with a double), Logan Morrison (0 for 1 with two walks) and Mike Stanton (1 for 4 with a double) — also faced Strasburg in 2010.

Discuss tonight’s game right here.
