If the Nationals can topple Cliff Lee tonight, they will even their season series with the Phillies at eight wins apiece, an incredible feat considering the Nationals won one of their first seven this year against Philly and, of course, the fact that the Phillies have won 98 games this year. The only time the Nationals have finished with a winning record against the Phillies came in 2006, when they went 10-9.
Ross Detwiler will start tonight. As a starter this year, Detwiler is 2-5 with a 4.22 ERA. Unlike Tom Milone, he’ll have to face a Phillies lineup missing just one regular.
As always, talk about the game right here.
