For the first time in forever, the Nationals are starting a series with the Phillies as the team in first place, looking down on them. But the Nationals know the Phillies are the ones who have won five straight division titles. “I don’t have to send up any notices, ‘Hey boys, by the way, the Phillies are coming today,’ ” Davey Johnson said. “It’s another opportunity to show our stuff and compete against the best in the division.”
