Nationals-Rays discussion thread: Game 66

(Nathan Denette - AP)
A night after he his actions were called “cowardly,” Nationals Manager Davey Johnson called Tampa Bay Rays Manager Joe Maddon “a weird wuss” and “a guru.” Maddon said “thank you” for the “guru” title. The verbal jabs continued about Tuesday night’s pine-tar-in-Joel-Peralta’s-glove incident and neither of these men will take the field for Wednesday’s game. That’ll be left to the players.

Oh, Stephen Strasburg is starting. And, Peralta is available to pitch. A suspension hasn’t issued yet.

Talk about the game, pine tar and more here.
