Nationals stand pat, Drew Storen not traded

Today’s 4 p.m. trade deadline has passed without the Nationals making any more moves, most notably a deal involving 23-year-old closer Drew Storen and Twins center fielder Denard Span. We should have more later from General Manager Mike Rizzo.

So, here is what the Nationals did at the trade deadline:

Acquired:

Jonny Gomes, major league outfielder, Reds

Erik Komatsu, Class AA outfielder, Brewers

Jeremy Walters, Class A infielder, Diamondbacks

Traded:

Bill Rhinehart, Class AA outfielder, Reds

Chris Manno, Class A left-handed pitcher, Reds

Jerry Hairston, major league utility, Brewers

Jason Marquis, major league pitcher, Diamondbacks

Added to active roster:

Chien-Ming Wang, starting pitcher

Brian Bilxer, utility

Yunesky Maya, starting pitcher

Atahualpa Severino, relief pitcher

Removed from roster:

Matt Stairs, pinch-hitter

Roger Bernadina, outfielder

Yunesky Maya, starting pitcher
