If you recognize a familiar face, and delivery, on the mound for the second game of the day, you would be right in guessing that it’s John Lannan. The left-handed starter, who has pitched two opening days for the Nationals, was called up to pitch Saturday’s night game. In Class AAA Syracuse this season, he is 6-9 with a 4.89 ERA in 18 starts. He led the Nationals last season with 10 wins but was sent to Syracuse after spring training. The Nationals will look to rebound from a three-game losing streak, two defeats at the hands of the Braves.
As always, discuss the game here.
