Roger Bernadina left off the lineup card

Roger Bernadina is not listed on the Nationals’ lineup card this afternoon, a likely indication that he has either been optioned to Class AAA Syracuse, or perhaps is about to be traded, in order to make room for Chien-Ming Wang on the Nationals’ 25-man roster. More to come when further information is available.

Bernadina is hitting .247/.312/.352 this season and has served as the Nationals’ full-time center fielder since Manager Dave Johnson took over last month.

This offseason, Wang signed a one-year, $1 million contract laden with incentive bonuses. Those incentives included a roster bonus, and so Wang will earn extra salary simply by pitching tonight.

Here’s today’s lineups:

Nationals

1. Rick Ankiel, CF

2. Danny Espinosa, 2B

3. Ryan Zimmerman, 3B

4. Michael Morse, 1B

5. Jayson Werth, RF

6. Laynce Nix, LF

7. Ian Desmond, SS

8. Wilson Ramos, C

9. Chien-Ming Wang, SP

Mets

1. Jose Reyes, SS

2. Justin Turner, 2B

3. Daniel Murphy, 1B

4. David Wright, 3B

5. Angel Pagan CF

6. Jason Bay, LF

7. Lucas Duda, RF

8. Ronny Paulino, C

9. Dillon Gee, SP
