Roger Bernadina will miss time with a family issue

Bernadina, 26, hit .246/.307/.384 last season with Washington. He was one of the final cuts the Nationals made in spring training. They chose vet­eran Laynce Nix as their final outfielder, choosing to send Bernadina back to the minors in order for him receive everyday playing time.
