Laynce Nix is out of today’s lineup despite a right-hander, Matt Garza, on the mound for the Cubs, an indication that maybe Nix’s sore right Achilles’ is flaring again. Jayson Werth is back hitting fifth with Nix out, with Rick Ankiel getting a start in the outfield. Since returning from the disabled list, Ankiel is 8 for 15 with two walks and a homer.
