Today’s Nationals-Marlins lineups

Davey Johnson made a few small changes to the Nationals lineup, starting with inserting Jonny Gomes into the lineup for the first time. He’ll bat sixth and play left. Meantime, Wilson Ramos drops to eighth, with Ian Desmond hitting seventh. Johnons made the switch in order to give Desmond more of a chance, but also because Ramos is “struggling,” he said. — he’s 3 for 24 since the all-star break.

Also, with left-handed Brad Hand pitching for the Marlins, Roger Bernadina is off for the second straight day.
