Today’s Nationals-Mets lineups

(Kathy Willens - AP)
Facing a left-handed starter for the first time this season, the Nationals mixed up their outfield. Jayson Werth moves to center and cleanup, with Mark DeRosa in left and Xavier Nady in right field. Also, Adam LaRoche dropped from cleanup to sixth. Manager Davey Johnson has not decided if he will use the alignment every game against left-handed starters.

“It’s kind of a work in progress,” Johnson said. “The players are going to dictate who gets the majority of the playing time.”

Meanwhile, Jesus Flores steps in for Wilson Ramos on a day game after a night game and Danny Espinosa returns. Here’s the full lineup:

1. Ian Desmond, SS

2. Danny Espinosa, 2B

3. Ryan Zimmerman, 3B

4. Jayson Werth, CF

5. Mark DeRosa, LF

6. Adam LaRoche, 1B

7. Xavier Nady, RF
