Michael Morse has the day off, with Laynce Nix replacing him at first base and at cleanup. Morse had a large hunk of ice on his left elbow last night, so the plunking from last week may still be having an effect. Nix also has outstanding numbers against Phillies right-hander Roy Oswalt.
