Shortstop Ian Desmond is sitting out today after straining his quadriceps muscle in last night’s 6-5 loss to Florida in the opener of the three-game series. Manager Jim Riggleman reitereated this morning he didn’t expect it to be a lingering injury, so it appears Desmond will be back tomorrow.
