Ryan Zimmerman’s fourth annual “Night at the Park,” a fundraising event held at Nationals Park run through his charity which raises money for multiple sclerosis research, will be held on May 23. Third Eye Blind will headline the event, and features Zimmerman along with several Nationals players.
The ziMS Foundation was founded by Zimmerman and raises money for a cure for multiple sclerosis, the disease his mother Cheryl suffers from. Soon after being drafted in 2005, Zimmerman started his foundation, and later created a golf tournament and a yearly event at Nationals Park. Zimmerman’s contract stipulated that he be given full use of the stadium one day a year for the Night at the Park event. Zimmerman was honored with the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award last season for his charitable work.
The Nationals are off on May 23. Tickets start at $45, and there are a range of options here.
