The Nationals return to Washington after a week-long road trip and face the St. Louis Cardinals in a rematch of last year’s NLDS. Anthony Rendon, who made his major league debut on Sunday, starts at third.

Hoping to pitch more consistently after a rough start, Dan Haren makes his fourth start. And, because his wife is giving birth Monday, Rafael Soriano won’t be available as he is on paternal leave.
