Two Nationals trainers help man with heart condition (updated)

Nationals head trainer Lee Kuntz and assistant trainer John Hsu were at Turner Field early on Wednesday, around noon, when someone rushed into the training room on the ground floor of the stadium to say that a man had collapsed nearby. According to Kuntz, who relayed the story, MLB Network camerman Reuben Porras was suffering from a heart attack and couldn’t breathe.

Kuntz grabbed the defibrillator and helped revive Porras, who was transported to a nearby hospital and, according to Kuntz, was in intensive care.

UPDATE, 8:45 p.m.: According to a Nationals spokesman, Porras died at the hospital later Wednesday evening. He was 61.
