Today’s Nationals-Dodgers lineups

Adam LaRoche will return from the flu today against Clayton Kershaw while Denard Span will sit against the game’s best lefty, yielding the leadoff spot and center field to Bryce Harper. In what may become a more common occurrence, Scott Hairston will play left field against a lefty starter.

Jordan Zimmermann makes his first start of the second half as Kurt Suzuki takes over behind the plate on a day game after a night game. They won’t have to worry about Yasiel Puig, who gets a day off after going 0 for 9 with five strikeouts in the first two games of the series.
