Nationals-Pirates discussion thread: Game 101

Katherine Frey/The Washington Post

The Nationals are trying to snap a suffocating five-game losing streak, and the match-up of Stephen Strasburg vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates should fall in their favor. Even since Strasburg made his incredible, 14-strikeout debut against the Pirates, he has dominated them. In three starts against the Pirates, all Nationals wins, Strasburg has 35 strikeouts and four walks in 20 innings.

Tonight he’ll face Francisco Liriano, whose renaissance has been a big part of the Pirates’ breakout. The lefty is 9-4 with 2.44 ERA. Talk about the game right here.
