The Nationals have dropped four straight games to the Braves and are 3-9 against them this season. They have also dropped all five games against their rival at Nationals Park this season. The Nationals’ tailspin has them a season-high 14 1/2 games behind the Braves in the NL East and eight games behind the Cincinnati Reds for the second wild-card spot. Jordan Zimmermann (13-6, 3.06 ERA) takes the mound on Wednesday and faces Kris Medlen (8-10, 3.85 ERA). The lineups are here. As always, discuss the game here.
