After wins in the first two games of the series, the Nationals are looking to sweep their NL East foe. The Nationals have only two three home sweeps this season. The last time they swept an opponent, regardless of location, was July 5-7 when they took all three games from the San Diego Padres. Also, the Nationals have never swept the Phillies in Washington. Jayson Werth leads the majors with a .404 average since July 1. Stephen Strasburg (5-9, 3.01 ERA) takes the mound and is opposed by Kyle Kendrick (9-8, 4.29 ERA). And yes, this is a weird time for a Sunday game; the Nationals are trying something new. The lineups are here. As always, yap about the game here.
