Nationals-Giants discussion thread: Game 118

The Nationals and Giants meet in a three-game series between two disappointing teams. The Giants are in last place in the NL West with a 52-65 record. The Nationals are in second in the NL East with a 57-60 record. It’s National Lefty Day, and only fittingly Gio Gonzalez (7-5, 3.52 ERA) and Madison Bumgarner (11-7, 2.75 ERA) are on the mound. The lineups are here. As always, discuss the game here.

Update, 8:28 p.m.: The rain arrived along with heavy gusts of wind. The game has been delayed, which could spell doom for Gonzalez, who seemed reached for his back a few times during the game.

Update, 9:21 p.m.: The Nationals announced an expected re-start time of 9:45 p.m.
