The 2013 season isn’t even a day old and Vegas oddsmakers are already making early predictions on next season. The Nationals are tied for third place, along with the champion Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals, with 10-t0-1 odds of winning the 2014 World Series, according to sports gambling site Bovada.lv. After the 2013 spring training, the Nationals were 7-to-1 favorites to win the whole thing and we all know what happened. So, take these extremely early odds on next season for what they’re worth. The Los Angeles Dodgers are the favorites — which is a logical choice, but a strong case could have been made for the Cardinals — followed by the American League runner-up Detroit Tigers.
