Nationals-Mets discussion thread: Game 1

Welcome back! Adam and I are looking forward to another season with our Nationals Journal readers.

The Nationals kick off their much-anticipated 2014 season this afternoon at Citi Field against the New York Mets. Right-hander Dillon Gee starts for the Mets, who have a handful of starters out with the flu or other reasons. Stephen Strasburg makes his third opening day start for the Nationals. The Nationals have won both of Strasburg’s opening day starts, and he has allowed only one run in 14 innings in those games.

The lineups are here. As always, talk about the game here.
