Tonight’s Nationals-Mets lineups: Bryce Harper hits sixth

The Nationals will begin life without Wilson Ramos tonight with an unexpected lineup. The Nationals have two left-handed batters who hit for power. You would assume Bryce Harper would hit higher in the lineup than Adam LaRoche. You would be wrong. LaRoche is hitting cleanup, and Harper will hit sixth — the first time he has batted that low in the order since the first four games in his career. Ian Desmond is batting seventh. Anthony Rendon moves from eighth to second after a big opening day.

Jose Lobaton will catch Gio Gonzalez and bat eighth. Bartolo Colon will start for the Mets, and man, watching him chuck 88-mph fastballs at Harper will be fun. Are there two more dissimilar players in the sport?
