UPDATE, 7:15 p.m.: The Nationals announced that Friday’s game against the Padres will start at 8 p.m.

UPDATE, 6:35 p.m.: The Nationals announced that Friday’s game will be delayed due to inclement weather. The tarp is on the field 30 minutes before first pitch. No anticipated start time was given.

The Nationals hope to wash away Thursday’s head-scratcher of a game by sending Stephen Strasburg to the mound against the Padres, one of the worst offenses in baseball that will be without third baseman Chase Headley, who landed on the disabled list. Strasburg is 1-2 with a 5.33 ERA and will be opposed by left-handed starter Robbie Erlin, who is 1-2 with a 4.15 ERA. The lineups are here. As always, discuss the game here.
