Nationals-Athletics discussion thread: Game 36

The Nationals hope to even the series against the Athletics by sending Tanner Roark (2-1, 4.17 ERA) to the mound. A stunning stat from the Athletics: a year ago, the Athletics lost their fifth game in a row, and they haven’t lost more than three straight games since. The Athletics have the lowest opponents batting average in the majors (.221) and the second lowest on-base percentage (.288) and slugging percentage (.334). And on Saturday, the Nationals get Oakland’s best pitcher so far: Sonny Gray (4-1, 1.91 ERA). The lineups are here. As always, discuss the game below.
