Tonight’s Nationals-Mets lineups

The Nationals will begin their weekend series against the Mets with usual lineup, keeping Denard Span atop the lineup against left-hander Jon Niese.

Third baseman Ryan Zimmerman, recovering from a broken right thumb, was out early fielding groundballs in the outfield. He snared with his glove and never used his right hand, even to hold the ball.
