Nationals-Cardinals discussion thread: Game 66

The Nationals, winners of 10 of their past 13 games, face a stiff test in an old, but limping, nemesis. The Cardinals are two games over .500 at 34-32 but sit 5 1/2 games behind the first place Milwaukee Brewers thanks to a sluggish offense. The Cardinals are 16-14 at Busch Stadium. The Nationals haven’t beaten the Cardinals since Game 4 of the 2012 NLDS. Since the start of 2012, including the playoffs, the Nationals are 8-14 against the Cardinals. Jordan Zimmermann, fresh off the best start of his career, faces the Cardinals, one of two NL teams he has yet to defeat. (The other is the Pirates.) The lineups are here. As always, discuss the game here.
