Nationals-Cubs discussion thread: Game 87

The Nationals produced their largest offensive output of the season on Saturday, a 13-run, 19-hit barrage against the Cubs. With Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel gone, the Nationals face the best remaining Cubs pitcher. If not for Clayton Kershaw, Jake Arrieta would have been the best pitcher in baseball in June. He has had a no-hitter through six innings in his past two starts; he lost it with two outs in the eighth in his last start against the Red Sox. Jordan Zimmermann, who starts for the Nationals, has struggled against the Cubs. He has a 1-4 career record and 5.59 ERA against the Cubs in six starts. The lineups are here. As always, discuss the game below.
