The Nationals-Braves game on Aug. 10 in Atlanta has been picked up by ESPN for their Sunday Night Baseball broadcast. Instead of a 1:35 p.m. game, first pitch will be at 8 p.m., a prime time matchup between heated division rivals.

It will be the Nationals’ first appearance on Sunday Night Baseball this season. The Nationals were on Sunday Night Baseball once last season. Both teams are tied for first place atop the National League East and, as they have been much of the season, figure to be in close contention for the division title then.

James Wagner joined the Post in August 2010 and, prior to covering the Nationals, covered high school sports across the region.
