Sandy Leon (Ricky Carioti/WP)

As expected, Wilson Ramos was officially placed on three-day paternity leave as his wife is due to give birth to their first child. To take his spot for the next few days, Sandy Leon was recalled from Class AAA Syracuse. Leon was hitting .212/.306/.331 in 34 games with Syracuse. He served two stints already in the majors this season when Ramos was hurt.

Jose Lobaton is starting and Gio Gonzalez is pitching. The Nationals face right-hander Zack Wheeler.
