2012 baby names rank high in Google search

From elsewhere in The Post: Kay’lyn and Envy Essence-Faye are a few of the unique names given to babies born Jan. 1, 2012. So far, Internet search engines have taken a liking to them.

“Kay’lyn, the first baby of Kentucky, has no other exact matches. Mathea Jeannine, born at 12:02 a.m. in Alaska, is the top of Google results for her name, and the same goes for Carmon McKynli (not a last name) of Mississippi, Envy Essence-Faye of Nevada, Zoey Antoinette of Oregon, and Shekinah Rain Shanice of Texas,” says Arts Post blogger Maura Judkis.

Judkis also discusses names that were once unique but are now growing in popularity, and how celebrities’ name preferences may influence our own.
