A book series for special-needs kids and a documentary for teens

Prepare your special-needs child for trips to the grocery store or dentist with the new “Off We Go!” book series. The books are for children ages 4 to 8 who have an autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder or any intellectual disability.

The documentary “Let’s Talk About Sex” gives a candid view of what can happen when sex is not discussed with adolescents. One teen in the film lost her virginity the night of her church’s “purity ball.”

Both stories are in today’s Health & Science section.
