One thing to do with kids this weekend: Kaleidoscope for Kids Festival

There is only one place where kids can watch a puppet show about a elderly turtle, listen to music from Latin America and make a kaleidoscope: The Kaleidoscope for Kids Festival. Part of a larger, month-long celebration of arts across Alexandria, this weekend is set aside just for the youngest audience members.

The festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Durant Center for the Arts, 1605 Cameron St., Alexandria. The cost is $10 per event, or $30 for an unlimited one-day pass. For information, visit the festival’s Web site or call 703-746-5560.
