In this week’s Family Almanac, the mother of a spirited toddler boy asks columnist Marguerite Kelly how to handle the disapproving stares from parents raising girls who are less active. “Their parents seem to think that my little boy is out of control and maybe a little bit nuts, when in fact he is quite well-behaved - he even says “please”! - but he is also very active,” the mother writes. Kelly advises her to write her feelings in a journal and try other coping mechanisms. (Family Almanac)
