Should I-Pads be used in the classroom?

From today’s KidsPost section of The Washington Post: The school supply list in one Maine school district now includes i-Pads. School officials say they will give an Apple i-Pad2 to nearly 300 kindergartners next year even though some parents have complained they are an unnecessary learning tool. Read the story here.
