Earlier this week, I wrote about how some pediatricians think too many of us are over-anxious hypochondriacs when it comes to our kids. A generous reader responded by directing me to a great resource that us nervous parents can check without judgement.
It’s the Symptom Checker on the Healthy Children Web site. The site is affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the program allows users to explore what various symptoms could mean. It also explains when a child can return to school.
The interactive set up is beyond easy.
Of course, no computer program can substitute for a doctor giving the all clear, but as we enter the season of sickness it’s a site to check out.
