Get started: Failed campaigns stiffing small businesses, House to respond on taxes

Our daily blend of the latest news, trends and tips for the small business community.

What’s going ‘on’:

Small businesses stiffed by failed presidential campaigns: Michelle Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman still owe millions to venders across the country, many of them small businesses who are hit particularly hard by the unpaid debts.

Race enters final hundred days: The election has come down to the final 100 days, and plenty of voters remain frustrated with their two primary alternatives. Some of them recently shared their thoughts on President Obama and Mitt Romney with The Washington Post.

Keep an eye ‘on’:

House to take stance on taxes: The Republican-controlled House will have a chance this week to shoot down the Senate’s tax plan, which would extend tax cuts for the middle class but raise rates for wealthy Americans. Representatives are also expected to approve their own measure that would extend tax breaks universally.
